Welcome! I’m Angela Katsakis, and I’m so glad you’re here.
My garden journey began at age four, growing corn in a tough corner of the yard with a short hose and big dreams. It wasn’t pretty, but I loved every moment—and even fed the birds and raccoons.
I remember the thrill of bringing food from my garden to feed my family, that I planted, tended, and harvested it as a pre-schooler! Even now, that early sense of pride and purpose continues to fuel my work today.
Hi! I'm Angela
Over the years, I’ve grown gardens in just about every challenging condition in zone 7: heavy clay, high water tables, deep shade, heat waves, and critter and pest invasions. I’ve learned by doing, planning, and planting thousands of organically grown seedlings, troubleshooting pests, and perfecting soil mixes.
In my own garden, I grow hundreds of plants every season. I’ve grown in suburban backyards, containers in condos, raised beds, on decks, including gardens with accessible features to accommodate everyone and to reflect many personal perspectives.
